Terms

LAST UPDATED JULY 2026

Dolly is in pre-launch. This document describes how the product works today and will be reviewed before general availability. If anything here matters to a decision you’re making, ask us and we’ll answer specifically.

What we provide

Dolly is a subscription service for running a food distribution business — orders, packing, inventory and batch traceability, cold-chain records, deliveries, and accounting sync. We provide it as it stands and improve it continuously; features change.

Trials

Paid plans start with a 30-day free trial. We may offer longer trials to early customers; where we do, the longer period is what applies to you. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel during it without being billed.

Fees

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew until cancelled.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. We do not pro-rate a part-used month, and your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Published prices are indicative during pre-launch and are confirmed when you subscribe.

Plan limits

Each plan includes a stated number of staff seats and orders per month, and unlocks a stated set of features. These are the limits the software actually enforces — the figures on our pricing page are read directly from the system that enforces them. Reaching a limit prompts an upgrade; it does not delete anything.

Your data is yours

You own the business records you put into Dolly. We use them to run the service for you, not for anything else. You can export them while your subscription is active, and you can ask us to delete them when it ends.

Where your records include information about your own customers, you are responsible for having the right to hold it, and we handle it on your instructions.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Dolly to break the law, don’t attempt to reach another business’s data, and don’t resell access without our agreement. Accounts are per-person: staff seats are not shared logins.

Availability

We aim for the service to be available whenever your floor is running, and we schedule maintenance away from trading hours where we can. During pre-launch we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. If you need one, talk to us and we’ll agree it in writing.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time. We may suspend an account for non-payment after notice, or end the agreement for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. On termination you have a reasonable window to export your data before it is deleted.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Subject to that, our liability in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction. Questions: hello@dollyhq.com.
